This is the first version of SHIELD I designed. It's an absolute piece of shit. I know.

Soon after the first launch I started re-designing the app. Here's what followed.
Based on the feedback from some existing users, I also added a Dark Mode in this version.

Around 2023 I did a complete revamp of the SHIELD app, by this time I was doing full-time design projects so I was pretty much satisfied

This is also when I added Hindi Language support to the app. So that we could reach people who are not fluent in english.

SHIELD is still alive and available to download on the Google Play Store.
Although I decided to NOT build the iOS version, even though I am myself using the Apple Ecosystem.
Based on the user analytics, I came to the point that people download these safety apps, but never use them. This is true for all emergency apps, some even from the government.
All of them are launched with great enthusiasm, but the lines go flat soon after.
Reasons for this might be lack of practical approach, or they just forget to use it. It is not something convenient to use in an emergency.
Lastly it may be slightly true that this market doesn't need a solution.
Because no one is looking for one.
